Numerous PvP questions
Okay, I got a few questions that I'm curious about....
1. WTF is with this "r3+" or "r9+++" only members in a party? Because I feel like going to AB (Kurzicks vs. Luxons) and doing that for faction. Most people don't let me in their party because I'm apparently too low a rank or something... so..........help please? 2. Anyone know the best build for an Assassin or Dervish? I use Onslaught build... D/---. Like, Lyssa's Assault, Mystic Sweep, Cripping Sweep, Featherfoot Grace, Onslaught (Elite Skill. All of your skills recharge 25% faster and cost 25% less energy.) It's basically a build where you use 600+ hp and spam attack skills using skills that have cooldowns no lower than 10s. My Assassin is A/D. It uses Vital Boon, Whirling Charge, Phoenix Strike (Off-Hand, but since I'm enchanted, I can use it), then Horns of the Ox (listed as Trampling Ox in the game... which knockdowns any isolated foe), then Falling Spider (must hit a knocked down foe), then some attack that does 15 or 20 dmg foe each of my recharging skills, so that's 45, then I usually hit 80 dmg average... and it's always a doube strike, then I finish up with Impale, inflicts deep-wound, as a spell from a distance. 3. Where are people getting all this cool stuff? I hear there is some tournament going on at certain times of the day. And you can get Zaishen Keys from that and use it on this Zaishen Chest on Nameless Isle for either really good stuff or really crappy. Because I see people with like a scythe, but the scythe part at the end looks like a bone that's shaped like ~~. I'm just wondering where people get them. Unless it is PvE. I also see a fair few Warriors using like this gray spiked strong armour and this dark spiked big long sword. I also saw someone using something that resembles a rapier, but it is kind of thicker than a rapier, and not as long. |

In regards to one, they must be using their ranks in the Kurzick/Luxon allegiance title, but to be honest, I've never seen rank discrimination rampant in AB. HA, sure. But not AB. I'll have to check it out.

It's came up with me about 5 times.... just because my build isn't finished or I am not a certain rank, I'm not allowed to have fun or whatever. I don't see why people would do that. The point of this game, (or so I thought), was to have fun. Not discriminate between people because they're not experienced. Plus, you still get faction during the game, it doesn't matter if you lose or win.

yes no one should restrict your fun. but by joining a high lvl group and being a low level player and unexperienced you are restricting their fun.
Just for the record though: I am one of those noobs they would restrict not one who would be restricting but I still think they are right. |

Yes I havent really seen any Ranked groups forming in AB. IF you want you can easily just blind invite someone and go on a pug. Though theres no telling what kinda retards you will be grouped with.
For sin stick to daggers, the purpose of the sin is to get in, kill quickly, and get out so you are not taking lots of dmg. You can easily apply posion+bleeding+deepwound in only 1-2 skills. Cool stuff? It drops from Zaishen and HoH chest. You can play AB get balth faction and go to your guilds hall and buy keys there. You dont have to go into the AT tournaments. Ab gives pretty good balth faction 10 per kill and you'll be killing a lot of people over the time of a full ab game. |

1. IMHO, if you see someone flashing a rank requirement in AB's - laugh. There are too many people who've acquired Luxon/Kurzik faction by leeching for it to mean anything. People also get faction when they LOSE, too. So the only thing having rank in ABs shows is that the person with it plays ABs a lot, or does lots of faction farming.
2. Check the Gladiator's arena for builds & all that good stuff. |

I haven't seen people asking for ranked parties yet in AB but my group does kick builds that don't fit what we are looking for. Either you change your build or you can easily find another group.
@Kook: I'm sure they are asking for rank from HA or RA/TA and not faction rank since you can get faction through other means outside of AB. |

Heh, never thought of it that way. Well, I only see specific builds required in places like TA, Zaishen Challenge, and Elite Zaishen Challenge. In AB, I wouldn't see why it would matter. You get Balthazar Faction and Luxon/Kurzick Faction, regardless of what happens.

ive only done AB once or twice as a joke, and never saw anything serious about rank, of any type. maybe the OP was in HA when we ment to go to AB.
if anyone does say your not good enough, just show off your 60% tyrian exlorer title and tell them your kind of a big deal for still having that. |

To be completely honest if you want to AB and a group says you can't join because you're too low ranked or whatever other reason they may come up with, just go to the next group. There's always another group looking to AB. I've never not been able to find a group. Even when the Kurzs have been pushed so deep it's not even worth trying to win, due to them having such a map advantage. |

2 - Yea nice builds, shame they dont mean a thing in HA, unless your joining random teams dont expect to walk in to ha and use those builds, you will have to learn others. Watch observer mode a bit, ppl will tell you what they want in their teams, and you will have to find a role to play thats wanted. 3- I dunno what your talking about Except zaishen chest. But dont worry about that other stuff . Oh and theres a HA forum, try looking there. |

I think the OP went to the wrong arena, HA instead of AB. Talk to the kurzick/luxon npc in your guild hall to travel to AB.
